To be honest, yes, if I had my druthers I would want my late husband to still be alive. It was a car accident, and he died instantly, so there were no processes to help me prepare. It was sudden and traumatic. We were actually preparing for his father’s pending death as he was in the very late stages of cancer he died just two weeks later. But gone is gone. I am quite the realist. All of my adult memories, stories, accomplishments, failures, etc. We had met we were 16, dated for 6 months, broke up and kept tabs of each other over the next couple of years, and back together Christmas time our first year in college.
